Jubilation in Anambra community as son will be consecrated Anglican Bishop in Manchester

It was jubilation galore at Aboji Akanano Union Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, when the news filtered into the ears of the people weekend that their son, Venerable Dr. Gideon C. Ilochukwu, will be consecrated as the maiden Bishop of Diocese of Anglican Missionary Congregations Europe, that will be inaugurated on 15th October 2024.
According to the invitation sent to the President General of Aboji Akanano Union, Nze Dozie Nweke, on behalf of the community, the two events, consecration of Ilochukwu and inauguration of the new Diocese will take place same day ( Tuesday), at AMC Church of Restoration, Manchester, M23 2SG at 19.30pm.
Expressing satisfaction with the elevation of Ven. Ilochukwu, Nze Nweke recalled that the family of Ilochukwu is known as a Christian family disclosing that his father, Ichie Ozioma, spent his life span working for the church and his son, grew up in that direction.
"We are happy with his elevation and as you can see we are in happy mood since we heard of the good news. He has made us proud by this honour that will be bestowed on him. We, the people of Aboji, entire Oba and Anambra State are happy for the upliftment and pray God to guide, protect and give him long life for which he will use to accomplish his missionary work and produce more of his kind to spread the gospel.
"My people and I are spiritually with him at the consecration arena in solidarity for the lord has done it on to our son and our expectation is that as he takes over the new Diocese, it will be development all the way to the glory of God," he prayed.
In the invitation signed by the planning committee chairman, Ven. Patrick Anochie, which was sent to Nze Nweke, arrangements have been concluded for the duo events that will attract participants from far and wide.
