Instead of roaming the streets in search of white cola job that has proven difficult to come by, a mass communication graduate, Miss Okafor Chidinma, with the business name, "Sugar and Spice Bakery Shop", resolved taking the bull by the horn when she opened her own shop after her apprenticeship training on bakery.

Fielding questions from newsmen during the opening of the shop located at No 33 Abba Street/Golden Garden junction, adjacent to People's club, Odume Layout Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, she disclosed that after fruitless efforts in search of white cola job she went into  bakery apprenticeship instead of depending on her parents for her needs as a matured girl.

"A woman is suppose to have something doing as sources of fund I have been indoors for years after graduation and it became boring to me as a girl and so I decided to learn bakery to be able to produce all manners of bakery products.

"I now produce hot dogs, cake, chin chin, biscuits, juice drinks, yoghurt, parfait, name it, and we do outdoor services like cooking, cake preparation for functions, decorations, among others.

"We are also event planners and I have scores of apprentices and staff under my employ. I advise all to work hard as white cola job is no longer realizable," she advised.

Contributing, father to Chidinma, Chief William Okafor, expressed satisfaction that at the long run God has answered the prayer of her daughter by making her to be a master trader after her apprenticeship training adding that it pains to continue to fend for a matured person and attributed the situation to the current socio-economic and political quagmire.

Her mother, Mrs Nneka Okafor, had earlier on her part thanked God for a dream come true assuring that her daughter will not relent on her God-gifted opportunity to get to the next level having been jobless for years.

"She is a mass communication graduate and because there is no job in the country she went and learnt this bakery work instead of to continue to be jobless and stay indoors doing nothing. With this not only that she can fend for herself but she has become an employer of labour," her mother affirmed.

In his own speech, an invitee to the function, Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwacha, described the girl as workaholic going by the efforts she has made to open her own shop and urged her to maintain the tempo.
