The change of leadership in All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) following the recognition of Chief Edozie Njoku as the authentic national champion of the Party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has continued to gain ground and momentum with the leaders and stakeholders as well as loyal members of the party loyal to his faction in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State pledging their unalloyed support for Njoku chairmanship.
Recall that Njoku was duly recognized by INEC as authentic National Chairman of APGA during the meeting of INEC and leaders of political party held late last month at INEC headquarters in Abuja. Recall also that the National Chairman of INEC Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had earlier last month recognized Njoku as the authentic National Chairman of APGA in obedience to court orders. Speaking through his counsel, Ahmed Mohammed, the INEC boss explained that the decision was also to purge himself of the committal order placed on him by the court.
The leaders, stakeholders and loyalists of the party Ogbaru chapter which also pledged their unalloyed support to the Acting Chairman State Chairman of the party in Anambra Chief Ikechukwu Ejesieme (Onye Uno) in a statement issued after a well attended meeting at the party's Local Government headquarters in Atani declared their heartfelt felicitation with Njoku's legal victories at various levels in court and expressed unfettered love, support and solidarity with his National Working Committee (NEC).
According to the Statement signed by three officials which include Ogbaru Local Government Chairman of the Party Hon Nnamdi Chike Nwamirunoni (Ochiagha Atani) along with the Local Government Secretary of the Party Mr Martin Ekechi and former House of Reps candidate of the Party Zeribe Ezeanuna as the leader of the Party in Ogbaru, APGA in Ogbaru has queued into the no victor no vanquish policy of Njoku's leadership and so doing calling on their colleagues on the other side to join hands with Ochiagha lead leadership to rebuild Party in Ogbaru
The Statement reads in part "we are in joyous mood and not interest in winner takes all takes all syndrome as obtainable in some places, we are totally committed to the leadership of our great party with vote of confidence to the National Chairman Chief Edozie Njoku and our acting State Chairman Chief Ejesieme, so said, we hereby extent olive branch to our colleagues over there who felt they have lost out, to come along with us and join hands for us to rebuild APGA in Ogbaru Local Government together"
