The Chairman, Idemili South Local Government Area(ISLGS), Hon Mrs Amaka Obi( Iyom Ife-Abata Idemili) has tasked the newly inaugurated councillors in the LGA to mobilize more people into the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) party by creating enough awareness of Governor Chukwuna Soludo's achievements at their various communities.

Inaugurating the new councillors in her office at the Secretariat Ojoto,Mrs Obi urged them to take the Solution mantra campaign which has been translated into numerous tangible achievements to the grassroots to enable more people to join the APGA party.

She advised them to avoid gang up against each other but to rather work in unity as they carry out their duties as ward representatives in the third tier of Government towards ensuring that democracy dividends were benefitted by everyone or community in  ISLGA.


"You have to work very hard, mobilise more people for the party on grassroots for the success of the party in the forthcoming 2025 Gubernatorial election.

"Good working relationship between the council executives and the party is vital to deliver good governance to the people at the grassroots. 

"There is need for a green, clean and liveable environment which is one of the tenets of His Excellency Prof  Chukwuma Soludo (Charlie Nwamgbafor). Therefore every councilor must ensure proper sanitation of their wards is maintained towards healthy living," Mrs Obi said.

Moreover, Mrs Obi eulogized the achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Idemili South and expressed her readiness work in collaboration with the State Government to do more for the LGA.

She promised an open door policy for the people of the area and also appealed to them to see themselves as Solution Ambassadors in the wards urging them to ensure transparency, dedication and accountability adding that the supports for the party is important.

Moreso,the APGA Chairman, Idemili South, Hon Chief Kizito Nwakibie Anoliefo congratuled the Councilors and harped on the need for good relationship and synergy with the party. 

He commended the giant strides of the TC Chairman, describing her as a great leader who has been instrumental in fostering peace and stability amongst party members at various levels. 

The Councilors were full of praises to Gov Soludo and the council chairman. 

In their separate remarks Alor ward 2 councilor, Hon Ernest Okafor, Nnobi ward 1 councilor, Hon Obumneme Ezeunyim, Nnokwa ward councilor, Hon Ike Amarachi, Akwu_ukwu Ward Councilor, Hon Udoka Somodi and Nnobi ward 2 councilor, Hon Oluchukwu Ilogbenu John thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve their wards and pledged that they would go extra mile to meet the governor’s targets, deliver on their mandates and ensure cordiality in their wards.

Present during the inauguration were the principal officers of APGA in Idemili South, the Head, Local Government Administration,HLGA Idemili South, Mr Kelvin Anazodo among others.

The newly inaugurated ISLGA Councillors include:

Hon. Somadina Idoka - Akwu-Ukwu Ward, Hon. Obiora Nweke - Alor Ward1,Hon. Okafor Ernest Obinna - Alor Ward 2, Hon. Ofido Evaristus Omega - Awka-Etiti Ward 1, Hon. Emeli Jude Ikenna - Awka-Etiti Ward 2.

Others are: Hon Ernest Ezeunyim - Nnobi Ward 1,Hon. Ilogbenu Oluchukwu - Nnobi Ward 2,Hon. Nicholas Onyedike - Nnobi Ward 3, Hon. Mrs Ikeh Amara Precious - Nnokwa Ward, Hon. Jude Nkeechi - Oba ward 1, Hon. Nkiru Onwuakagbe - Oba Ward 2, Hon. Uchenna Ejikeme - Oba Ward 2, Hon. Okoli Chibueze - Ojoto Ward, Hon. Obimdike Ajaegbo - Ojoto Ward -

Highlight of the occasion was the administration of Oath of office by the ISLGA Head of Personnel Management, HPM, Mrs Anthonia Olie, JP, FCPA.
