ASMATA Inaugurates Sokoto road market SSG

Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders' Association, ASMATA, has inaugurated the Sokoto road market team of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Support Group, SSG.

Speaking during the inauguration, the ASMATA President General, PG, Chief Humphrey Anuna, said that Governor Soludo was God sent to better the living condition of the people in the state adding that he has achieved in just two years what successive administrations were not able to achieve in 18 years.

"We are not here for campaign, when the time for campaigns come we shall know, but know it that the governor's achievements will speak for him, the achievements are there for all to see.

"We are here to inaugurate the team that will create awareness on the governor's achievements because most people may not know that the governor has achieved a lot for the people. So this team, headed by the market chairman, Chief Emeka Mbachi, will penetrate the market to assist in creating awareness on those achievements.

'Again, let me remind the traders that while they lag behind in their businesses is because they don't believe in one God. You don't need to serve two gods. Serve the living God and you prosper in your business. Trust your neighbor and always say the truth," he stated.

Earlpier, there was a special prayer session that preceded the inauguration that was conducted by Rev Fr. Sabastine Ozor, who urged the traders to always believe in God if they want to make heaven.

Commending the ASMATA PG, Chief Anuna, and Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Trade and Markets, Hon. Evarist  Uba, the market chairman, Chief Mbachi expressed satisfaction that Governor Soludo appointed men who have distinguished themselves in various fields of human endeavors to lead in market affairs adding that the result is the restoration of lost glory of markets in the state.

He disclosed that the Governor has done the traders proud with sanity he brought in the markets and roads leading to different markets he rehabilitated that make movement to and from markets easy.

On the governor's achievements Chief Mbachi reiterated that the governor has no rival as far as the 2025 gubernatorial election is concern adding that his achievements are there to speak for him.

"What he achieved in just two years have surpassed what the previous administrations could not achieve in 18 years. Roads, health sector, education, agriculture, sack of touts, among others, where do we start from to name what he did just in two years," he stated.

Also, a property developer, Chief Asika Eze, from Imo state but based in Onitsha, recalled when Mbachi was his boy adding that he (Mbachi), works like Governor Soludo by being interested in the affairs of others than himself.

He described Soludo as a workaholic leader even as he frowned at some leaders in the state who he called selfish and greedy leaders.

In his own speech, a stakeholder in the market, Mazi Nduka Chika Chibueze disclosed that Governor Soludo has touched so many souls of which he is a beneficiary of the governor's financial policy.

"I am the coordinator, Soludo Support Group, all support groups in Anaocha Local Government Area.

We are suppose to support Soludo for what he has done to the Igbo when he was in the Central Bank, CBN, his financial policy helped a lot to stabilize the naira.

"I commend Mbachi for his achievements in the market and everybody is happy with him. It was since his leadership that we realize that all hope is not lost in leadership, he is trying a lot, he is a good man," he disclosed.

The market youth leader, Eze Isaac Ojinze, said that with the inauguration of the market SSG, the support for Soludo will continue until the state gets to the promised land adding that Governor Soludo has come to develop the state.

Also the vice chairman of the market, Chief Okoli Uchechukwu,  said he appreciated God for what Mbachi is doing in the market adding that he has been able to uplift the market environment and brought sanity to the market.

"My support to Mbachi is 100 per cent, undivided, he gave #50,000 to hawkers to enable them cope up with the present economic quagmire, he is the Solution we have in the market, the SSG inaugurated today in the market has passed vote of no confidence on the opposition. 

"Two years of Soludo's achievements have surpassed that of those who stayed for 18 years. He has touched so many things in two years like free medical care, free education, road rehabilitation, sack of touts, among others," he said.
